THE RESULT OF THE LACK OF WRITTEN PROCEDURE

 

Informal organizations are products of the lack of written procedure. An informal system and process cannot be trusted, and this creates fear. There is poor training for the job and therefore even more painful cross training.

 

What you see is reactive knee-jerk decisions for running the business – also known as crisis management. More days than not are spent putting out fires because of the lack of monitoring systems. The training and improvement of the system and process or “the job” is lacking accountability which is easy to see because “you can’t improve until you define”.
